Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath claimed his 11th five-wicket haul as New Zealand were spun out for a modest total of 221 on the opening day’s play of the Galle Test.

Pakistan are staring at a certain defeat on Day 4 of the opening Test at Galle. At Stumps on Day 3, the visitors have been reduced to 36 for 3 after being asked to chase an impossible target of 510.

Sri Lanka have rested left-arm spinner Rangana Herath for the remaining three ODIs against Pakistan. It is believed that Herath needed the rest following a recently done knee operation. The left-arm spinner is expected to be a crucial factor in the Sri Lankan team in the upcoming Test Series against Pakistan.
